BSC 444  Spec Elec - Basic Sciences  4 cr
BSC 460  Clinical Neuroscience  4 cr
This four week course is designed to provide fourth year medical students with comprehensive training in neuroanatomy, neuropathology, neuroimaging, and related clinical skills. This course focuses on a deep understanding of neurological disorders by integrating knowledge of normal and abnormal neuroanatomy with clinical practice. Clinical roleplay, patient cases, anatomical donors, and interactive lecturing techniques will be used to enhance diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and procedural skills for a range of neurological conditions. In addition, students will gain pedagogical training regarding course/lesson design and interactive teaching approaches. Students will also gain experience as junior educators by serving as facilitators for clinical vignette discussions within this course and as teaching assistants for the second year medical course, Neuroscience and Behavior (NSB). Students will receive formal performance feedback from both formative and summative assessments in addition to informal feedback from peers and faculty throughout the course.
BSC 480  Reflection on Basic Science  4 cr
